Tammy is a dedicated Occupational Therapist with a wealth of experience and expertise. She has a profound passion for unlocking the potential in everyone she encounters.
In 2007, Tammy graduated from the University of Western Sydney. With a focus on Paediatric OT, she has worked in communities, schools, and hospitals in Sydney and London. Her expertise extends beyond the Paediatric realm, encompassing neurology, trauma, respiratory, orthopedics, rehabilitation units, and occupational rehabilitation for adults.

Tammy has undertaken extensive postgraduate studies in areas such as fine motor skills, gross motor skills, sensory integration, handwriting, toileting, play, infant massage, reflex integration, Autism, ADHD, gifted education, eating challenges, sleep and Rebound Therapy just to name a few. This wealth of knowledge allows her to tailor interventions to meet the unique needs of individuals across diverse backgrounds and conditions.
Tammy is not only a practitioner but also a contributor to the field through active participation in research projects. She has also authored a book entitled ‘The Animals in Me’ (click link to view) that serves as a valuable resource for both professionals and families to address self-regulation. She has also shared her insights at various workshops and conferences, fostering knowledge exchange and professional development.
Before dedicating herself to Occupational Therapy, Tammy was a Dancer, Dance Teacher, Choreographer, and Cheerleader. This background enhances her understanding of movement, physiology and expression, influencing her holistic approach to therapy.

1.What types of services do you offer?
Thrive and Grow Occupational Therapy offers support via a number of pathways. Some examples of this is 1:1 therapy in the school, daycare/pre-school or home environment, telehealth, teacher consultation, groups, whole class screeners, workshops for support staff and families and one off assessments for purpose such as functional capacity assessments. Collaboration is paramount in our practice between the therapist, educators, other involved professionals and caregivers.
2. How long will we need to attend therapy for?
Goals and programmes are developed on an individual needs basis so the frequency and duration of therapy may vary between participants. Regular communication and collaboration regarding progress is maintained to determine the ongoing need for therapy.
3. Do I need a referral for OT?
No you do not need a referral to commence Occupational Therapy. However, a GP referral is required if you wish to obtain Medicare rebates.
4. What are your fees?
The fees for service are dependent on a number of factors such as duration of service, type of service and travel involved. Thrive and Grow Occupational Therapy’s fees are however, in line with the NDIS guidelines. Please contact us for further fee information.
